Texas hog hunts. The Rock River Arms LAR-8 is designed specifically for large game and predator hunting. The barrel is a cryogenically treated bead blasted stainless steel heavy barrel to assist in reducing felt recoil and muzzle movement. The receiver is strong and sturdy and designed to handle the tactical .308 caliber round again and again. The trigger guard is oversized to allow gloved fingers easy access and control with freedom of movement. The rifle uses a rubber Hogue Grip for hand comfort. The full A2 buttstock gives the shooter full control and firm seating of the rifle while the internal spring mechanisms reduce felt recoil and allow the shooter to more quickly prepare for subsequent shots. The ATN ThOR 2 is an ultra-high performance thermal imaging scope that uses a high resolution OLED color microdisplay assembly that provides exceptional resolution and clarity. To achieve superior accuracy and precision the ThOR scope utilizes a rear projected optical precision windage and elevation system. The ThOR is the only thermal weapon sight with ATN’s new proprietary feature - Two Color Manual Brightness control of the aiming reticle. This feature allows for a choice of color of the projected reticle depending on the operator’s preference and tactical situation. The ThOR has a 2x optical magnification which provides increased resolution benefits over digital zoom models. Thermal imaging cuts through dust, smoke, fog, haze, and other obscurants. Its use cannot be detected as it emits no visible light or RF energy and operates without the use of illuminators or IR lights.
